Julika Herzberg’s main research interests are the welfare effects of transparent supply chains and the sustainable exploitation of resources with special regard to the mining field.
Furthermore she researches about the economic development in Brazilian Amazonia and its environmental impact. For this she works together in an international cooperation with the research team of the project “Tropical Deforestation and Economic Development”.
After her Master studies of International Economics and Governance in Bayreuth and Kiel she started her work as a research associate and doctoral student at the Research Unit for International Economics at RWTH Aachen University.
Julika Herzberg supervises the course “Internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen” (Master course, regularly in summer term) and Bachelor and Master theses.
